Dr Vasanthi Vasudev



Osmosys is the brain child of Dr Vasanthi Vasudev.

Dr Vasanthi Vasudev has a multi-dimensional experience of over 25 years in the field of Teaching, Educational Management/Principal ship, Training, Educational Products development  to which to combines her unique skills in Quality Consulting and Technology based learning

Vasanthi has an outstanding academic record, being University 1st both in her Masters degree in History as well as in Education.

A PhD in International Relations, Vasanthi has taught in schools in India and abroad. She has also worked actively with the Central Board of Secondary Education in curricular innovation in Social Science.

 After a stint as college lecturer, she moved into educational management. She was Principal -Sir Sivaswamy Kalalaya Senior Secondary School Chennai for seven years and she led the school to rapid growth and popularity. In 1998,Vasanthi received the Best Principal CBSE Schools award -conferred by the Wisdom International, Chennai

Propelled by a desire to expand her horizons and reach out to larger sections of society, she joined a network learning company called IL&FS Education & Technology Service Ltd, where she worked as a senior pedagogy resource. During her stint in IL&FS Education & Technology Service Vasanthi designed distance learning projects and also designed and implemented many teacher development programmes

Vasanthi is also a Registered QMS Auditor. Along with her team members has been working as a Quality Consultant with educational institutions, to develop Quality Management Systems and to prepare them for ISO 9001-2000 Certification.

Vasanthi also combines her pedagogic expertise with hands on work in the field of technology-based learning

Vasanthi is a Learning specialist .She has been involved in numerous action research projects concerning innovative teaching and evaluation styles that focus on the learner and on whole brain development. Her area of Action Research has been on Brain Based Learning and she has developed many new –generation products for optimizing brain potential for children and adults. Vasanthi has also designed products for personalizing learning and making learning student centric.

The experience garnered over years of interacting with students, combined with an understanding of curricular subjects helped to develop a counseling model based on brain based learning preferences and she uses this model to help students to arrive at career options.

Vasanthi was also an independent consultant to IL&FS ETS and she also develops and implements programmes on their behalf. In addition to this, she shares her knowledge and experience with other leading educational institutions, in her capacity as a consultant. She has been Quality Consultant to Inventure Academy www.inventureacademy.com. She has been educational advisor to The Grove School- Chennai and she is Academic Director – Academy of Personalized Learning – Chennai www.apl.net.in
